INCREASED SAFETY ON PALILULA TRAFFIC JUNCTION POINTS

On the occasion of the activities of setting new traffic signals at locations in Palilula Municipality, where pedestrian safety is compromised, especially of students, the president of Palilula, PhD Igor Novakovic and President of the Palilula Assembly, Milan Djurdjevic, with their associates and in the presence of the president of the of City Assembly of Nis, PhD Mile Ilic and chief of the Railway Junction Niš, Dejan Djokic, visited the location of the railway crossing near the Old Cemetery (old building of Distribution) street junctions of "Vojvode Gojka" and "Prvog Srpskog Ustanka," where the construction works are completed.

According to the President Igor Novakovic, Palilula Municipality in its Development strategy has given special priority to activities for improving the quality of life of the residents in the settlements. At the core traffic crossroads of the Municipality we began with setting traffic signals. With the regulation of pedestrian crossing at Dusan Popovic street we established one new traffic safety line.

Considering the ground state, says president Novakovic, solving problems and meeting with citizens has become the practice in the work of the leadership of the organization of our local government of the City of Nis. The initiative to set traffic lights gave the citizens themselves, said PhD Mile Ilic. They contacted me within the action `Halo president`. I insisted that in the shortest term this problem should be solved. All authorized services worked for months on this matter. This is the proof that the city government accepts the initiative of our fellow citizens and successfully solve the problems and demands. Today we solved the great problem said Dejan Djokic during the meeting with press.

Technical documentation elaboration has lasted for many months. The reason was solving of complex task of realizing unique traffic system of traffic organization where with railyway road many traffic roads are crossed.
